Editing Content On An Existing Page

Modified on Thu, 09 Dec 2021 at 11:50 AM

How you will edit content on individual pages depends on whether they were created with a tool called Elementor or not. Information and instructions for both are included below.

When you go to Pages in the left side menu and see a list of all of the pages of your site, you may notice that some say Elementor after them. Elementor is the tool that we use to design WordPress sites. If you are editing the content of your website yourself, you will need to use the right method to edit pages.

For Pages Created In Elementor

Note: You may want to avoid editing pages created in Elementor and instead send your requested changes to wayne@tiptoptechsolutions.com. We will get your changes made ASAP!

  1. Click on Pages from the left side menu.
  2. Hover over the title of the Elementor page you wish to edit, and click Edit with Elementor.
  3. On the page that comes up, you will see the page with it’s content and a panel down the left side of the page.
  4. To edit a content item, click on the content item itself. For example, if you wish to edit the text on a page, click on the text.
  5. A panel will open on the left side, where you can edit the text.
  6. When you are finished editing that section, click Update.
  7. To exit this view, click the hamburger menu in the top left corner and then click Exit to Dashboard.
